Where you lead, Lord, I will follow. As most of you know, He currently has me in Padova, Italy. I am on a MAPS missions assignment through Assemblies of God World Missions. Here are some reflections of my experiences here in Padova. Thank you, my dear friends and family, for your prayers and support. All praise, honor, and glory are to Your name, Lord. I am forever grateful for Your grace and love.

Passover with SFC

Some moments in life aren't captured in a photograph, but in the mind and memory. Preparing the Passover chicken with Amy was one of those moments.
I had gone to the Denton's home to help her prepare the day before the big lesson and meal. I was vacuuming when Kurtis came up to me and simply said, "Amy needs your help in the kitchen." I had no idea what awaited me. The look on her face should've alerted me to how serious things were. She looked like she was about to scream, cry, and vomit all at the same time. I asked what was going on. She couldn't even get the words out. She lifted the chicken and I saw the source of her turmoil...the claws. And much to her dismay, she then felt the head...which was still connected to the bird. We freaked out a little bit :) I told her we could do it! I grabbed a knife...she grabbed a bag to cover the head while she held it and I cut the head off...I guess I should say "sawed" it off. Kurtis avoided all this action in the living room with the girls, comforting them as they cried, thinking something was very wrong with Mommy. Praise the Lord, we survived this tramatic experience and can laugh pretty hard about it now! Ha!

The above-mentioned chicken, now delicious and ready to eat!

The beautiful table and spread of Jewish food we prepared.

We spent hours preparing, and it was well worth it!

Ariana enjoyed our lesson and meal with us. She was even answering lots of Kurtis' questions! I love hearing children and their knowledge of the Bible!

He had put in hours and days of study and preparation for the lesson. It was so great! I learned numerous things I didn't know. It is so powerful to see everything that points to Jesus. The Lamb slain, our risen King!

"Therefore He (Jesus) is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself."
Hebrews 7:25-27
